Town Council Special Meeting - County Beach Plan Presentation

This meeting is open to the public and will take place at 1 Beachside Drive, Orchid FL 32963. The start time of the meeting is scheduled at 3:00 p.m. or shortly thereafter.

The Town Council will host representatives from Indian River County’s Natural Resources Division to present the updated Beach Preservation Plan, which is the guiding document to the County’s beach management program. The representatives will address how this plan has changed since 2019, when it was last updated, and what the future of coastal management in our County will look like under its principles. A particularly interesting portion of the plan regards different coastal solutions, which each have benefits and drawbacks. Come see for yourself!

Supporting documents pertaining to the meeting are available at Town of Orchid’s Town Hall located at 9301 Hwy A1A, Suite 201, Vero Beach, Florida 32963 weekdays between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. with a daily closure from noon for half an hour. All interested parties may participate in the meeting. Persons who wish to appeal any decision made by the Town Council with respect to any matter considered at the meeting will need to ensure that a verbatim record of the proceedings is made, which record includes the testimony and evidence upon which the appeal is based.
