Town of Orchid's building department has the responsibility of issuing building permits and conducting building inspections within the boundaries of the Town. For the review of building permit applications, the issuance of building permits and the inspections, the Town contracts with CAP Government, which provides the Town with two weekly visits from a certified Building Official.
During the week, our part-time Building Clerk is happy to be of assistance to any contractors, sub-contractors, and citizens regarding permit questions.
The Building Clerk's regular hours are daily from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
About Our Building Clerk, Teresa Brown
Teresa has worked in the local construction industry for over twenty five years, most recently as the Office Manager for Wissel Construction. A native Floridian born and raised in Fort Pierce; her great-grandparents were among the early settlers on John's Island. She and her husband Richard are the proud parents of two Florida Gators, Tim and Richard, Jr.
