The Town of Orchid offers luxury living, beautifully cradled between the Atlantic Ocean and Indian River Lagoon. The community's commitment to green and open space, as well as conservation, is clear to any visitor by simple observation. The habitat that's been carefully fostered has been welcoming to species of many wonderful sorts, both flora and fauna. Indeed, the Town is home to many distinctive birds. The environmental quality has earned the Orchid Island Golf & Beach Club the distinction of being named a certified Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary.
Of course the Town of Orchid lives up to its name with many residents caring for a beautiful and colorful array of fancy orchids in their lush gardens. The barrier island as a whole has been historically known for its wild orchids and continues today to be the perfect environment for these amazing flowers.
The Town has asked for our residents' help in showcasing the stunning beauty of the area. Please see the photo gallery below of the snapshots residents have taken in Orchid. The Town would like to thank the Audubon Society for assisting in the identification of all the beautiful birds featured in these photos for our visitors utilizing screen-readers.
