Building Department
Town of Orchid’s independent building department has the responsibility of issuing building permits and conducting building inspections within the boundaries of the Town. For the review of building permit applications, the issuance of building permits, and the inspections, the Town contracts with CAP Government, which provides the Town with 2 weekly visits from a certified Building Official.
During the week, our part-time Building Clerk is happy to be of assistance to any contractors, sub-contractors, and citizens regarding permit questions. The Building Clerk’s regular hours are daily from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Nevertheless, the Town’s Building Department is known for its responsiveness and quick turnaround on applications.
