Vulnerability Assessment - March 12 at 4 p.m.

As part of the Club’s Distinguished Speaker Series, the Town’s Coastal Engineer, Steve Boehning of Coastal Waterways Design & Engineering, will present the results of his Vulnerability Assessment. This project evaluated future risks to our community from flooding, storm surge, and sea level change, and the effects of their interplay. The area of interest was the entire Town and included modeling of the potential impacts of these forces from the Atlantic Coast as well as the Indian River Lagoon shoreline. Although the report’s time horizons may seem distant, it’s not too early to start thinking about adaptation and mitigation. Come along to find out more!
