In March 2024, Orchid's Town Hall was moved to the island to a facility that better represents the community it serves and does so from a location of much greater convenience and accessibility to residents, contractors, and others. The former Town Hall, located on U.S. Highway 1, was put up for sale that very same month.
3 short months later, the Town closed on the sale, having accepted an offer of $300,000. The unit proved an excellent investment for the Town, as it was purchased on March 1, 2013, for just $75,500.
